Marilyn's 2006 International Women's Mentoring Clinic and Citywide Healing Meeting in Guatemala City combined to make a dramatic display of God's love and power in Central America.

Combining Two Cultures
In February, 130 U.S. and Canadian women traveled south to Guatemala, where they were joined by Marilyn, Sarah, and 1,300 Guatemalan women. These "crazy faith-friends" arrived ON FIRE for God and ready to receive. The result? Miracle healings...and miracle transformations...birthed from miracle mentoring!

Some were surprised when God led Marilyn and Sarah to host their 2006 International Women's Mentoring Clinic and Healing Meeting in Guatemala. Many even asked, "Why Guatemala?" This picturesque country with its striking cathedrals, colorful marketplaces, and breathtaking scenery is an ideal place to visit. But most importantly--it's a hotbed of revival--and therefore the perfect backdrop for combining miracle mentoring with hands-on ministry.

When the U.S. and Canadian women arrived, Marilyn met them with a powerful mandate: "You're not here to fuel the fire of revival--it's been spreading throughout the nation for some time. God called you here to light a match from that fire so that YOU could ignite revival in your life, your family, and in your community back home."

Five Power-packed Days of Mentoring...Ministry...and Miracles
Mentoring Clinics are very important to the mission of Marilyn Hickey Ministries. Each one is designed to teach women how to evangelize, pray effectively for the sick, minister in their spiritual gifts, and develop a heart for the nations.

Marilyn and Sarah learned that three-quarters of the American women were new to the Mentoring Clinic--and were they in for a treat! They received an advance day of mentoring before the Guatemalan women arrived. The relationships built were truly EXTRAORDINARY. Marilyn said, "I was amazed at how powerfully and quickly these women, from two different cultures, bonded together."

Sarah prayed a healing prayer for those with eye problems, then she called women forward to step out in faith, apply what they learned, and pray for the sick. They prayed for a woman with a history of nine eye surgeries--and she was healed from a detached retina! Marilyn prayed for backs. One woman was free of back pain for the first time in six months. When the power of God touched another woman she took off running hand-in-hand with Marilyn--what a joyous sight! Other physical healings were equally miraculous.

Healing Life's Hurts
God's "personal touch" and power permeated every meeting. After Pastor Blanca Castro ministered on emotional healing she asked for a show of hands from women who suffered spousal, sexual, and verbal abuse--more than half the women raised their hands. In a culture where women don't always receive respect and affirmation, God supernaturally poured His love into them. They left the room renewed to the truth about their value and worth as women. It was a miracle moment.

Hunger for God
These women were truly HUNGRY for the Word, and it showed. Marilyn's new teaching Fourth Dimension Living was a hit. The women couldn't quit talking about it! They also couldn't say enough about prayer each morning and the vibrant contemporary worship before each session.

Sarah played an integral role in the Mentoring Clinic and the women gleaned so much from her. They took her message on overcoming fear to heart and soaked up her practical teaching on healing the sick. Her passion for the next generation touched hearts and the group was excited to hear about plans for upcoming worldchild outreaches this year.

Reaching Leaders
Marilyn desires to develop relationships with Christian, political, and business leaders wherever she travels. On this trip, she hosted a VIP luncheon for high-ranking women leaders including the First Lady of Guatemala City (the nation's former First Lady). Marilyn believes the luncheon was of great importance in helping to form relationships with influential women in the community who can have a dramatic effect on future MHM outreaches.

Grand Finale
Upon completion of the Mentoring Clinic, the women were poised for the grand finale--a citywide healing meeting. They boldly went into the audience searching for those needing a miracle touch from God. What happened next will astound you.

From miracle mentoring...to miracle manifestations...the great anointing that saturated the International Women's Mentoring Clinic flowed over into the Healing Meeting Saturday night. The 1,300 on-fire, eager women were primed and ready for the more than 5,000 people who crowded El Shaddai Church in Guatemala City. People packed the altars, pressing in to receive prayer. The excitement grew as the power of God was present to do the 'impossible'...
• Two blind men SAW for the first time...
• Two little deaf girls HEARD for the first time...
• A baby's feet--crippled and twisted by polio--STRAIGHTENED before amazed onlookers' eyes...
• A 24-year-old man who NEVER WALKED in his life LEAPT out of his wheelchair with joy!

Bold Ministry, Dramatic Healings
"I've never seen so many authentic and dramatic healings," said one of Marilyn's team members. It was truly a unique experience to witness American and Central American women ministering side by side (undaunted by language barriers), boldly involved in hands-on ministry, and playing a role in so many unusual healings and deliverances. The altars were filled with those receiving salvation, the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and rededicating their lives to the Lord.

The Anointing Breaks the Yoke
One of the most touching and awe-inspiring miracles came when a 24-year-old man, who had never walked in his life (injured as a baby), got out of his wheelchair. He began walking...then running...and finally began leaping—to the marvel of everyone present! Another man injured in a car accident six months earlier and told he'd never walk again…got up and walked during the healing meeting! An elderly woman received her sight after the power of God touched her. One man who received prayer came back to testify that he was totally healed of a lung ailment. Many people afflicted with back and neck pain left the meeting pain free and able to move normally.

Just as in the Mentoring Clinic, God's comfort, love, and peace flowed through the Healing Meeting--binding wounds of physical, mental, and verbal abuse. There were many emotional and "heart" healings--families united and bonded together in prayer, people experienced the power of forgiving others and being forgiven themselves.

God Rocks Guatemala
Intercession, spiritual warfare, and evangelism are fast transforming the nation of Guatemala. Some estimates show that almost 50% of the people in Guatemala are "born again." According to the video Transformations, the city of Almolonga (a small town of 20,000 some 65 miles west of Guatemala City) reports that more than 80% of the population has become "born again" in the last 15 years.

Revival Brings Miracles
The Guatemalans deep passion for God impacted Marilyn's ministry team. A new realization of the INTENSE LOVE God has for each person in Central America…and every nation of the world…refueled their own passion to carry God's Word to every nation!
